Bouza Coco Chardonnay/Albarino 2021

Cocó: This is a blend of Chardonnay and Albariño made with grapes produced at our vineyards in Melilla and Las Violetas. For this wine we choose the best barrels of Chardonnay of each vintage and a smaller quantity of fresh Albariño. This white blend is a tribute to Juan Bouza’s mother, Cocó, who enjoyed drinking these two varieties together.

For this wine we choose the best barrels of Chardonnay of each vintage and a smaller quantity of fresh Albariño. This white blend is a tribute to Juan Bouza’s mother, Cocó, who enjoyed drinking these two varieties together.

Tasting notes:
Pale yellow color. Aroma of peach and pear, with hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is rounded, with balanced acidity and substantial volume. Very persistent.

Preparation:
In 2021, this wine was produced from a selection of some barrels of Chardonnay aged over its lees for more than 9 months and fresh Albariño was preserved in tank during the same time. Blending these two vinifications, in a greater percentage of Chardonnay, allowed us to
obtain this fresh and persistent wine, with an intense and complex aroma, as Cocó used to like."
